Pesek named RMAC Offensive Player of the Week

GOLDEN, Colo. (Oct. 1, 2007) - Colorado School of Mines' David Pesek has been selected as the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference's Offensive Player of the Week for games played on Saturday, September 29th, as announced today by the RMAC.

Pesek, a 6'3", 185-lb. sophomore quarterback from Centennial, Colo. (Arapahoe High School), completed 24-of-40 passes for 358 yards and three touchdowns in the Orediggers' 41-13 victory at Oklahoma Panhandle State University on Saturday, September 29th, in Goodwell, Okla.

For the season, Pesek has a 122.76 quarterback rating, is averaging 228.6 yards passing per game and has completed 66.3 % (118-of-178) of his passes. Through CSM's first five games in 2007, Pesek has thrown for 1,143 yards and five touchdowns.

Colorado School of Mines (2-3 overall, 1-1 RMAC) will resume the RMAC portion of its schedule by playing at New Mexico Highlands University (3-2 overall, 2-1 RMAC) on Saturday, October 6th, at Perkins Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
