FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Men's and women's soccer teams qualify for RMAC Championships GOLDEN, Colo. - The Colorado School of Mines men's and women's soccer teams have qualified for their respective Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournaments, as announced today by the RMAC. The CSM men, who finished with a 7-6-1 mark in conference play (10-8-2 overall) in 2007, have qualified as the #4 seed in the upcoming RMAC Men's Soccer Championships, which will be held on Friday and Sunday, November 2nd and 4th, at Metropolitan State College of Denver (Auraria Field). The Orediggers will square off against #1 seed and host Metro State in the semifinals on Friday at 7:30 p.m. Friday's other semifinal, which will begin at 2:30 p.m., will feature #3 seed Regis University and #2 seed Fort Lewis College. The winner of each semifinal match will advance into the RMAC Men's Soccer Championship Match on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. at Auraria Field. The Oredigger women, who compiled an 8-3-1 record in conference action this fall (11-7-1 overall) and tied for second place in the RMAC regular-season standings, have qualified as the #3 seed for the RMAC Women's Soccer Championships. The CSM women will host a quarterfinal match against #6 seed New Mexico Highlands University on Wednesday, October 31st, at 5:30 p.m. at Brooks Field in Golden. The winner of Wednesday's quarterfinal between the Orediggers and the Cowgirls will move on to play #2 seed Colorado State University - Pueblo in the semifinals on Friday at 12:00 p.m. Both of Friday's women's semifinal matches, as well as Sunday's RMAC Women's Soccer Championship Match (12:00 p.m.), will be held at Metro State's Auraria Field.
