HAMILTON EARNS RUNNER OF THE WEEK HONORS

GOLDEN, Colo. - Colorado School of Mines track runner Joel Hamilton was named this week's Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Runner of the Week, as announced yesterday by the RMAC office.

Hamilton earns these honors after his first-place finish at last weekend's Prairie Wolf Invitational in Lincoln, Nebraska. Hamilton won the men's 5000 meter event in an automatic national qualifying time of 14:10.93. His time also crushed his previous school record of 14:26 in the 5000.

The CSM men's and women's track & field teams will be in action this weekend, Feb. 29 - Mar. 1, at the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships in Kearney, Nebraska.
