CSM MEN'S SOCCER PLAYER NICK KUBALA EARNS DISTRICT
HONORS GOLDEN, Colo. - Colorado School of Mines Nick Kubala was named to the
ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District men's soccer first team,
as announced Thursday, November 1st. The district named 13 student-athletes to one team. There are eight
districts nationally. Kubala will now advance to the national ballot where
he will be eligible for academic All-American honors. To be eligible for such honors, the student-athlete must be a starter
or key reserve, must have a grade point average of at least 3.20 and must
be at least a sophomore, both academically and athletically. Kubala holds a GPA of 3.65 at Mines and was second on the team this season
with nine goals. Kubala also earned first team All-Conference and first
