2007 Academic Player of the Year

CSM'S SOCCER PLAYER CRAIG THOMPSON EARNS RMAC ACADEMIC PLAYER OF THE YEAR; THREE OTHERS EARN HONORS

GOLDEN, Colo. - The Colorado School of Mines men's soccer team had four individuals earn RMAC All-Academic honors, while three were named to the RMAC honor roll, as announced today by the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.

To be eligible for this award, one must have a GPA of 3.20 or better, be a starter or key reserve, and have completed two consecutive semesters at his current institution.

Senior forward Craig Thompson was chosen as this year's RMAC Academic Player of the Year. Thompson earns these honors after leading the Orediggers with 13 goals and four assists, and holds a GPA of 3.74.

Nick Kubala and Jeff Nelson were also named to the first team RMAC All-Academic team, while John Moseley earned second team honors. Matt Zachman, Kenan Bisic and Drew Werth were all named to the RMAC honor roll for their efforts on and off the field.
