CSM'S SOFTBALL TEAM PICKED FIFTH IN THE RMAC EAST DIVISION

GOLDEN, Colo. - The Colorado School of Mines softball team was picked to finish fifth in the East Division of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, while one individual was named to the Preseason All-Conference Team

It was announced this afternoon by the RMAC office that the women's softball team is picked to finish fifth in the East Division and eighth overall in the RMAC.

Utility player Sara Eickelman was the lone Oredigger named to the Preseason All-Conference team. Eickelman led the team in 2007 with a .397 batting average and ended the season with 75 putouts, 36 assists and a fielding percentage of .965.

CSM will kick off its season on Saturday, Feb. 9th, with a home doubleheader against Colorado College. Games are set for 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.
