GOALKEEPER KEVAN THURMAN EARNS
RMAC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS

GOLDEN, Colo. - Colorado School of Mines men's soccer player Kevan Thurman was named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week, as announced this afternoon by the RMAC office.

Thurman, a senior goalkeeper, earned the honor after the Orediggers played to a 1-1 tie against Metro State and dropped a 1-0 decision to Regis University this past weekend.

Thurman recorded nine saves in 110 minutes against Metro State on Friday night. He then allowed one goal and made six saves in the 1-0 loss to Regis on Sunday. Thurman averaged 7.5 saves and one goal in the two home games.

CSM will return to action this weekend with two road games in Texas. The Orediggers will face Incarnate Word on Friday and St. Edward's on Sunday.
