FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Oredigger men's track & field team ranked 13th in the nation
GOLDEN, Colo. - The Colorado School of Mines men's track & field team is currently ranked 13th nationally according to the Division II Coaches Indoor Track & Field Power Rankings, as announced this morning by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). The Orediggers were ranked as high as 14th earlier this season, but had fallen out of the top 25 in recent weeks. This week, the Orediggers found themselves back in the rankings at number 13, which is the highest men's track & field national ranking in school history. The CSM men's and women's track & field teams will return to action with a pair of split-squad events this Friday, February 22nd. The Orediggers will host the CSM Twilight Open at Steinhauer Fieldhouse, while other members of the team will travel to Lincoln, Neb., for the Prairie Wolf Invitational.
